Description
This report is devoted to the issues of the decolonial approach in term formation. The concept of the decolonial approach, which emerged within the framework of linguistic decolonization, aims to return our native values in terminology. It allows Kazakh terminology to have an independent approach. It is known that the term linguistic decolonization is generally used to restore linguistic national identity. If the language does not have a communicative orientation within the framework of scientific communication, the act of conveying scientific content through national understanding will not be formed. The purpose of the report is to clarify the decolonial approach in the process of term formation, and therefore to strengthen some of the linguistic mechanisms that have been lost in the process of term formation due to the influence of political circumstances. To revive the initiative of the Alash intellectuals, once led by A. Baitursynuly. The decolonial approach in term formation is based on the formation of the name of a scientific concept in the native language. This, in turn, paves the way for the formation of Kazakh scientific consciousness. It will be one of the measures related to expanding the scope of use of the Kazakh language as the state language. The report, based on scientific works, describes the negative impact of the former Soviet ideology on the development of the Kazakh scientific language, new findings in the field of terminology since independence. The report cites scientific literature on linguistic decolonization and terminology. The content of the report contributes to the stabilization of new directions in the process of term formation, and the increase in the linguistic competence of specialists in the field.Period | Jan 24 2025 |
