Description

Polymer materials are materials made of compounds with relatively high molecular weight. We are familiar with rubber, plastics, fibers, coatings, adhesives, personal protective equipment (such as masks), even batteries, high-performance concrete, and most composite materials. Both are closely related to polymers. Molecular simulation can describe the structure, properties, and change mechanism of polymer materials at the level of molecular atoms. It complements polymer experimental methods and polymer physics theoretical research methods, enabling basic research, molecular design, and product development of polymer and composite material systems.
