Policy of Teaching Kazakh Language at Nazarbayev University

The purpose of this talk is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the Kazakh language teaching policy at Nazarbayev University. The main areas of focus include the legal framework surrounding language policy, the status of the Kazakh language within the academic environment, and the various programs and practical methods used for teaching languages.

The authors outline the structure of the university's language policy and analyze its strategic goals, which include providing high-quality education in the Kazakh language, fostering the development of language culture, and promoting a multilingual educational environment. Furthermore, the study explores the role of language integration and interdisciplinary approaches, as well as the language experiences of both teachers and students. It also examines how to optimize language learning through course curricula and supportive activities.

Ultimately, this work proposes improvements to the language policy and identifies strategic directions aimed at enhancing the linguistic and cultural status of the Kazakh language.
