Description

The purpose of the project is to study the best practices and classroom methods specific to English for Specific Purposes (ESP), including relevant teaching approaches with the goal of their application to Kazakh language for Specific Purposes (KSP). This approach is needed as undergraduate students are taking Business Kazakh. In addition, this project extends from the results of a two-year’ project in the development of materials for the KSP course “Kazakh for Business”. The project focused on the development of language skills and abilities achieved using inter- and multidisciplinary links with other disciplines studied at university. The interdisciplinary approach implies teaching within the scope of various subjects or different sciences [Rashidov A.M, Kuimova M.B.]. Research at UWM is needed for easy access to research materials in the library. In addition, to assistance with the analysis of how different professional fields affects textbook design investigating the ESP courses will allow data to be collected. The main challenge will be to determine the particularities of KSP and to fit a pedagogical methodology to the professional sector. Therefore, the result of this research is to gather and create my own learning materials for the new chapter of the textbook in KSP.
