Dr Alessandra Clementi, MD, GP is a Family Physician graduate of Ancona Medical School (Marche, Italy). After 15-year clinical experience in Family Medicine in Italy and UK (GMC-UK-GP Registered), in 2015 she joined Nazarbayev University as Assistant Professor of Practice. She joined the School of Medicine from its start and she contributed to develop, teach, and assess many courses of the MD program in Year 1-2-4.  She is Director of the Family Medicine Clerkship and Director of the Family Medicine Residency that started in September 2019. 
Dr Clementi is actively involved in Medical Education research and clinical research. She serves on many committees, including the NUSOM Teaching and Learning Committee, the MD Program Committee and the Curriculum Committee. She is leading Clinical Skills and Healthcare Communication Skills Curriculum in NUSOM. She has been nominated by the School of Medicine for the NU Teaching Award in the category “Leadership” in 2019 and 2020. She is in the Nazarbayev University Committees for Special learning Needs and Student  Emergency Fund. She is country representative of Kazakhstan in the Council Committee of EURACT, European Association of teachers of Family medicine, A WONCA subgroup.

Teaching

She is Block Lead of two Blocks, "Patient Care I and II", comprehensive of a total amount of 6 courses.  She is Course Lead of other courses: Advanced Medical Interviewing, Medical Ethics and Professionalism, Family Medicine Clerkship.She has been course lead and initiator of the following courses: Behavioral Medicine, Introduction to Psychiatry, Basic Physical Examination, Basic medical Interviewing.She supported the development of the Standardized Patients Program, including recruitment and training of English-speaking Simulated Patients.
