Research interests

  • Neural Circuit Dynamics & Sensory Processing
I investigate how populations of neurons coordinate activity to encode and transform sensory information. Using in vivo electrophysiology in awake, behaving rodents, my work seeks to uncover the circuit motifs underlying visual perception, and how these dynamics adapt during learning and disease.

  • Perceptual Learning & Plasticity
How does repeated experience reshape neural representations? Through longitudinal recordings and behavioral assays, I am interested in the mechanisms of synaptic and network plasticity that support improvement in sensory discrimination and decision-making, both in health and in models of neurological impairment.

  • Eye Movement Dynamics as a Window into Brain State
Pupil diameter and eye movement patterns fluctuate with arousal, attention, and neuromodulatory tone. I combine high-resolution eye-tracking with EEG to map how ocular motor circuits interact with cortical networks to regulate cognitive state during health and disease.
