Professional Information

Dr. Alexei Trochev (PhD, University of Toronto; MPA, University of Kansas) teaches Political Science Research Methods, International Law, Law, Politics, and Society, and Post-Soviet Public Policy. Prior to joining NU in 2011, he taught political science and law courses at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada. Between 2008 and 2022 he edited the journal “Statutes and Decisions: The Laws of the USSR and Its Successor States”. His current research focuses on judicial politics and transitional justice in post-Soviet states.
