Bektemir Ysmailov holds a Ph.D. in Finance degree from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and a B.Sc. in Finance degree from the University of Northern Colorado. During his doctoral studies he was a visiting doctoral student at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business. During his tenure at NUGSB, we was a visiting scholar at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business multiple times. His research interests lie in the areas of Corporate Finance, Liquidity Management, Capital Structure, Corporate Governance, and Labor Finance. Dr. Ysmailov’s research has appeared in leading finance journals such as the Journal of Banking and Finance. He is a CFA charterholder.
