Bektemir Ysmailov holds a Ph.D. in Finance degree from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and a B.Sc. in Finance degree from the University of Northern Colorado. During his doctoral studies he was a Visiting Scholar at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. His research interests lie in the areas of Empirical Corporate Finance, Cash Holdings, Capital Structure, Corporate Governance, and Labor Finance. Dr. Ysmailov’s research has appeared in leading finance journals such as the Journal of Banking and Finance. He was an asset manager for a multi-million dollar student-run portfolio at the University of Northern Colorado. He passed the CFA Level I and Level II exams.
