Dinara Galiyeva: MD, MSc, PhD.
Dinara Galiyeva graduated from Medical University Astana in 2007 with degree of Medical Doctor in pediatrics. She finished her Internship in pediatrics in 2008 and Residency in pediatrics in 2010. Both programs she did in the State children’s hospital 2 in Astana, Kazakhstan. After Residency Dinara worked for one academic year as a teaching assistant at the department of pediatrics at the Medical University Astana. After that in 2011 she entered a Master`s program which she graduated in 2013. Her Master’s thesis was about left ventricular remodeling in children receiving dialysis. After completing her Master`s program she entered a PhD program in the School of Medicine of the University of Edinburgh (2014-2017). Her PhD thesis was about survival and cardiovascular outcomes in children receiving renal replacement therapy. She used European Pediatric Renal Registry data combining 33 European countries to analyze all-cause and cardiovascular mortality in children receiving renal replacement therapy. In addition, she used Scottish Renal Registry data and linked it with National registries of death and hospital admissions to analyze the incidence of non-fatal cardiovascular outcomes in Scottish children receiving RRT. Currently, starting from June 2018, she is working as an Instructor at the school of medicine in Nazarbayev University. Her research interest is pediatric patient population, long-term outcomes.
