Ejercito M. Balay-odao was a Ph.D. nursing graduate from Saint Louis University, Philippines. Before joining Nazarbayev University in December 2022, he was an academician since 2004 in the Philippines and Saudi Arabia. Throughout his nursing career, he has demonstrated his ability to interact and communicate thoroughly and professionally with faculty members, nursing staff, nursing administrators and leaders, physicians, visiting medical professionals, patients of diverse ages and backgrounds, and with patients' families and careers in a variety of clinical setting. He has demonstrated his ability to assess individual student and patient needs. He oversees service delivery in all events to ensure that it meets all required quality, efficiency, effectiveness, and, therefore, the desired goal. Personal development and communication with others have been his focus in obtaining goals. He taught various nursing courses such as Medical-surgical nursing, mental health nursing, maternal-child nursing, pediatric nursing, growth and development, pharmacology, pathophysiology, research, nursing leadership and management, and fundamentals of nursing. He also taught Advanced health assessment, advanced medical-surgical nursing, trends in nursing research education and practice, and Statistics in nursing at the Saint Louis University, Philippines, School of Advanced Studies.
