Dr. Sagin will work on the integrated surface-groundwater, geospatial, geodesy support in the project. His current research project expertise is related to his work in the Afghan-Pakistan Pishin Lora basin (NSF USAID PEER) and Kabul River basin (NSF USAID PEER, 2017-2021) programs; previous the US-Canada trans-boundary cooperation projects, including the US-Canada Red River Basin Commission and Global Institute for Water Security, University of Saskatchewan; WMU Earth Sciences Remote Sensing  His research work was related to the Assessment and Development of Renewable Water Resources. Dr. Sagin has applied an integrated interdisciplinary approach for groundwater exploration, in which inferences from remote sensing data were integrated with observations extracted from other relevant data sources such as geochemistry, field geology, geophysics, and surface runoff and groundwater flow modeling for a better understanding of the hydrological setting, the groundwater potentialities, and for identifying potential locations for productive wells. He supervised 6 PhD and 14 MS students, who worked on the implementations of the joint research works.
