Personal profile

Dr. Jiyang Dong is an Assistant Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the Graduate School of Business of Nazarbayev University. Dr. Dong’s research lies at the intersection of corporate political strategy and organization theory, and is primarily developed in the context of Chinese private firms strategically acquiring political resources while avoiding political pressure. His research has been selected at the Academy of Management Annual Conference as a finalist for the OMT Best Dissertation Based Paper Award. Dr. Dong received his PhD in Management from INSEAD. Prior to joining NU, he has worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and was on the faculty of the Business School of UIBE in Beijing.
