Dr.Kuralay Atageldiyeva, MD endocrinologist, has obtained her M.D. degree from Kazakh National Medical University (Almaty, Kazakhstan) and has completed doctorate course at the graduate school of Asahikawa Medical University (Japan) and was conferred Ph.D in Medicine in 2016. She had completed Residency Program in Endocrine Diseases at the Research Institute of Cardiology and Internal Diseases. Main clinical research focus in the Diabetic complications. Recipient of research support from Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the project “Development of new molecular genetic methods for the pre-symptomatic diagnosis and treatment of a number of significant diseases” and from Ministry of Education and Sciences of the
Republic of Kazakhstan for the project “Development and Implementation of modern system of epidemiological monitoring of major chronic noncommunicable diseases” and owner of “Bolashak” International Scholarship of the first President of
Kazakhstan. 

Research interests

1) Diabetic complications, pathophysiologic mechanisms and genetic predispositions; particularly in diabetic nephropathy

2) Obesity, underlying mechanisms and treatment options;
