Dr. Md. Hazrat Ali obtained his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kyushu University, Japan. He earned B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Mechatronics Engineering from IIUM, Malaysia. His Ph.D. thesis focused on developing integrated control systems in precision measurement for variable deep-holes applying laser beam, optical components, CCD camera, servo, and stepper motors. The research was carried out under the Japanese Government Scholarship (MEXT). 

Dr. Ali has attracted over $ 1.0 Million in research grants funded by internal and external organizations. He has published over 100 scientific papers in high-impact journals, top-tier conferences, and symposiums. He has supervised over 40 students including Ph.D. and M.Sc. thesis, as well as Capstone projects.

Dr. Ali achieved 1 silver and 1 bronze medals for his innovative technology at an international exhibition held in Malaysia. He has 1 patent (EPO) and 1 commercialized research output. He organized a special session at the FAIMS 2022 conference, USA. He has served as the session chair and technical program committee member of over 10 international conferences. He is also a regular reviewer of several high-impact journals.
