Ruslan Bilal graduated from the Pediatric faculty of the Karaganda State Medical Institute in 1995. From 1995 to 1996 he was attending an internship in pediatric surgery at Children’s Clinic Hospital of Karaganda Region. After the successful completion of the internship, from 1996 to 2006, he was working as a pediatric surgeon in the emergency and elective surgical services of the Children’s Clinic Hospital of Karaganda Region. In 2006, Ruslan completed a 4-month training course in neonatal surgery at the «Soroca» Ben Gurion University clinic in Beer-Sheva, Israel. From August 2007, he was working as a doctor in the Neonatal surgery department of the National Scientific Center for Maternity and Childhood, located in Astana. In 2010, Mr. Bilal completed his Ph.D. with the topic of «Early diagnosis and treatment of Hirschsprung’s disease in children». In 2013, he was awarded the “Bolashak” International Scholarship by the President of Kazakhstan, and between 2013-14 studied at the Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, United Kingdom. Since 2015, Ruslan worked as a Senior neonatal surgeon at the Department of General Pediatric Surgery and Transplantology of the National Scientific Center for Maternity and Childhood. Since August 2018, he is working at the Department of Medicine of Nazarbayev University.
