Professional Information

He is an assoc. professor with MSc degree from the University of Missouri and a PhD degree from the Colorado School of Mines in the USA. His main research interests are geotechnical; engineering rock mechanics, mechanical excavation and tunneling. He has authored over 80 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and proceedings and also a book; Modified CSM Model for Predicting TBM Performance in Rock Masses. He is a recognized reviewer/editor of numerous mining, rock mechanics, engineering geology and geotechnical journals. He is known for the studies of developing the Modified CSM Model, TBM performance prediction formulas, and also proposing rock brittleness index and classification.
