Research interests

Dr. Sung-Woo Moon currently works at the Department of Civil Engineering, Nazarbayev University. He obtained a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). Also, He has been holding a Professional Engineer license in Civil Engineering in the US. Before NU, he had worked at the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore. His research interests are divided into four geotechnical engineering topics: computational geomechanics, geotechnical and geophysical site characterization, natural hazard assessment and mitigation, and by-products application in geotechnical engineering.
