In 2008 Vladimir Surov was awarded the International Bolashak Scholarship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to study Pharmacology, Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Chemistry in the United Kingdom. In 2014, Vladimir graduated from the University of Nottingham (United Kingdom) with a Bachelor and Master's Degree in Pharmacy (with Honours).
Upon successful graduation, he started his clinical practice working as a clinical pharmacist at the National Centre for Maternal and Child Health where he worked until May 2016. Subsequently, he moved to the National Centre for Neurosurgery where he was employed as a chief specialist in clinical pharmacology at the Hospital Pharmacy Department.
During 2017-2019 Vladimir was granted the position on the pre-registration pharmacy programme at the Kidlington Health Centre in Oxford (United Kingdom) which he successfully completed and registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council of Great Britain in 2018. Upon receiving GPhC registration, Vladimir worked as a pharmacist in the Kidlington Health Centre (United Kingdom) to gain more clinical and scientific experience in the field of clinical pharmacy and pharmacology.
In September 2020, Vladimir Surov obtained an exciting opportunity to join Nazarbayev University School of Medicine where he is employed as an Instructor, teaching and co-leading various courses in clinical and scientific programs including Master of Pharmacology and Toxicology Program, Doctor of Medicine Program, Nursing Programs among the other.
