Dr. Zumrad Kataeva is an Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Education and holds a Ph.D. in Studies in Higher Education from the University of Kentucky, USA. Prior to her current appointment, she worked at the Institute of Education of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, Moscow, Russia, where she was a part of the international project on 25 Years of Transformations of Higher Education in Post - Soviet Countries. Dr. Kataeva is an alumnus of the Doctoral Fellowship Program of the Open Society Foundations (OSF) and served as an educational researcher for the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), UNICEF, and the World Bank. Her main areas of research is in international and comparative education focusing on gender equality in higher education, international academic profession, higher education governance, and educational policy.
