Social Policy Grant
This project has two main purposes: First, in its academic component, the project will collect pioneering evidence on entrepreneurship in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan and thus contribute substantial theoretical insights on the evolution of Central Asian capitalism. Second, in its applied research component, the project will integrate closely with business practitioners to assess their opportunity structures and to conclude actionable recommendations and policy advise for various audiences. In that way, the project aspires to showcase the potential of an ethnographic, mixed methods perspective for applied research in the economic domain.
