Project Description

This is one of the very first projects to utilize the brand new Clean Room Nanofabrication Facility at NU. With this project, we will work to extend the nano-device fabrication expertise and user base in Kazakhstan. In addition, we plan to help establishing a 2D TMDs research as a mainstream productive research topic at NU and Kazakhstan, and our plans to develop practical methodology to grow variety of high-quality 2D materials, both intrinsic and doped, as well as lateral heterostructures will be a base to further in depth develop 2D materials research. These 2D materials are highly suitable to be used in nano-devices, and our project and developed expertise will encourage other NU and Kazakhstan researchers into device fabrication based research.
