Project Description

Objectives: 1. To examine MRI-based normative intracranial, total brain, cortical, and subcortical structures volumes in healthy Kazakh young and middle-aged adults [25-64 years] and older adults [65-89 years of age] 2. To construct a Brain atlas specific to the Kazakh population 3. To evaluate volumetric MRI-changes in brain of Kazakh adults a) healthy individuals of all adults (young, middle and older) and b) patients with AD and dementia 4. To assess the brain atrophy lesion index [BALI] in healthy,AD and other dementia Kazakh older adults 5. To use an MRI-z-score to construct an AI-based classifier system for differential analysis of MRI- changes in the normal and AD/demented brain.
