Project Description

This project aims to design and develop innovative solutions of PAs for 5G and B5G. This entails development of measurement based LSMs of GaN HEMTs. We will first characterize GaN HEMTs to collect broad range of nonlinear measurement data. Then we will use latest advances in ML to develop LSMs which are adaptive, scalable, and reliable. Subsequently, we will use the developed models to design PAs for use in 5G and B5G wireless technology. The outcome of this project has the potential to bring a paradigm shift in the way first-pass PAs are designed.
