Project Description

We propose to develop a lightweight, durable and thermostable architecture for ultra-high resolution Remote Sensing Satellites (RSS). Necessary enablers of the proposed architecture will be
I. A novel Design Representation and Computational Framework (DRCF)
II. The development of a multifunctional multi-scale and multi-layered egg-crate graphene-CNT-PEEK honeycomb panel topology and
III. The development of lightweight piezo-brake damper elements for structural protection against severe launch loads and elimination of residual microvibrations induced by active on-board systems.
