Faculty Development Competitive Research Grants Program 2025-2027
Project Description
The aim of this research proposal is to assess emissions of ultrafine particles during co-combustion of municipal sewage sludge with low-rank bituminous coal in a drop-tube furnace and laboratory scale fluidized bed reactor. Furthermore, mitigation strategies will be evaluated by monitoring and adjusting operating conditions of the rig, inclusions of additives, and combustion environment.
