Project Description

There is an emerging need to develop a comprehensive epidemiological and in-depth analysis of communicable diseases in Kazakhstan. Monitoring and surveillance of infectious diseases have to take advantage of the unified nationwide electronic health systems and digitalization of healthcare, disease registries, including most communicable diseases that Kazakhstan has implemented. This project ultimately aims for the development of a research center for infectious disease control and prevention, using modern epidemiological analytic approaches, advanced biostatistical evaluations, mathematical modeling and machine learning to support with appropriate epidemiologic and methodologic techniques to working on large-scale administrative healthcare data for public health surveillance of infectious diseases.
