Dr Maja Savevska was awarded a Jean Monnet module that will run from September 2017 until August 2020. The project represents an innovative approach to introducing research and teaching of European Union Studies at Nazarbayev University (NU) in Kazakhstan. The objective of the project is twofold: i) to familiarize students with the most advanced example of regional integration that is particularly relevant for Kazakhstan which is undergoing regional integration within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), and ii) to foster research on comparative regionalism by examining the key policies and institutions of the EAEU, such as the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Council, the Collegium, the Parliament, and the Court of the EAEU.
