Project Description
The purpose of the proposed study is to explore the nature, role and functions of educational research from policy makers, educators and researchers` conceptions in order to generate a conceptual model of education research in Kazakhstan. This research project is unique because:
(1) It focuses on the voices of multiple stakeholders of education research, including ministry officials, educational managers, teachers, and education researchers in Kazakhstan.
(2) It links education research to policy and practice through exploring conceptions of policymakers and educators focused on secondary and higher education.
(3) It draws a holistic picture of education research that would be meaningful and serve the public good.
(4) It aims at finding common ground and contributes to dialogue between various stakeholders through engaging them in research to co-investigate and co-develop the conceptual framework of education research.
