Project Description
The proposed research will complete the fundamental study of nanogap effects on SERS enhancement in dimers, trimers and other nanoparticle oligomers on plasmonic substrates, which is conducted by combination of AFM&Raman or/and SEM&Raman microscopic maps, revealing structure-activity relationships. However, the most of this research is dedicated to SERS immunoassay detection of biomarkers including cancer biomarkers, achievable with reduction in undesirable non-specific protein adsorption during the assay, which should improve assay specificity and achieve possible decrease in the assay cost by application of new substrates or/and SAMs on the surface of gold film substrate .
