Project Description

The research objectives of TEECA-II are threefold, targeting both academic output and community outreach. The research objectives are to: 1) train Nazarbayev University students in scientific archaeological methods and site documentation as the next generation of custodians of national heritage; 2) raise awareness and provide solutions to contemporary threats to cultural heritage preservation in Kazakhstan; 3) establish Nazarbayev University as an international and academic hub for Silk Road and Eurasian Steppe research of the Bronze Age and other periods.
