Project Description

The goal of the project is to explore novel routes to prepare important platform molecules and active pharmaceutical ingredients (exemplified on cyclopentenone derivatives, Furosemide and Prazosin) from biomass-derived platform molecules (furanics) in combination with photo-, mechano- and flow chemistry using waste (humins) as feedstock, which will lead to potentially relevant drug candidates followed by scale-up production.
