Abstract
The methodological recommendations describe how to prepare the colon for a study, which is one of the important factors in the success of screening colonoscopy, indications and contraindications for this method of research, the main techniques for colon intubation, allowing for a safe inspection. For the first time in the Republic of Kazakhstan, issues of sedation and anesthesia were raised during screening colonoscopy. A significant section is devoted to the method of examination of the mucous membrane of the colon, the documentation of the study. The paper presents the main indicators for evaluating screening colonoscopies in accordance with the recommendations of the European Association of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
