Abstract

The article publishes some materials on mounds with a stone ridges which were recorded in 2014–2015 in the process of archaeological exploration in the territory of the mountain ranges of Kokentau and Semeytau. The considered areas belong to the administrative territory of Semey city of East Kazakhstan region.In addition, the materials of the excavations produced in 2018 are published. In the course of the study, a barrow with stone ridges number 6 was excavated as part of the Karatobe burial ground.The article presents the preliminary conclusions regarding the cultural and chronological identity of the monument.
