Abstract
Phraseological units, proverbs and sayings are considered as a special category with nationally labeled semantics, which carries specific, mental information about the culture and traditions of any people. The main methods of semantization are considered in the article, such as the reception of correlation (comparison), the selection of synonyms and antonyms. An effective way of semantizing phraseological units, proverbs and sayings is to receive a revival of the internal form of these units, for an accurate understanding of their semantic content and the situation in which they are used.
