Abstract

The invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery and can be used to prevent reperfusion complications in injuries of the great vessels of the extremities.
A method for the prevention of reperfusion complications in injuries of the great vessels, includes intraoperative administration of 20 μg of "Vasoprostan" diluted in 50 ml of physiological saline into the distal arterial bed before restoration of the main blood flow. The advantage of the proposed method is to reduce the risk of development of the "inclusion syndrome" by introducing Vasoprostan into the distal ischemic tissues. Thereby, a more pronounced effect from the ongoing prevention of reperfusion complications is achieved. The method improves the efficiency of reconstructive operations in conditions when the periods of acute distal ischemia are close to or exceed the allowable ones, allowing to reduce the number of complications associated with reperfusion.
