Abstract
This study addresses the efficiency of freewriting for teaching English to students of non-linguistic specialties in Kazakhstani Universities. Both quantitative experimental data and qualitative observations are presented. They support the point of view that freewriting is a useful technique for developing writing skills in particular for beginners.
