Cascaded optical parametric oscillation using a dual-grating PPLN crystal

Abstract

We demonstrate tunable cascaded parametric oscillation in which the primary parametric oscillator signal internally pumps the secondary parametric oscillator. Above the secondary threshold we observe clamping of the primary signal, in accordance with theory.
