Cavity-enhanced modulation in gain-lever semiconductor lasers

Abstract

Geometric effects are investigated in a modulated two-section semiconductor laser. The study includes numerical solutions of the traveling-wave equations, a new analytical treatment using delay-differential equations, and the experimental characterization of quantum-dot lasers.
