The results of a systematic numerical study of the trapping and collisions of discrete breathers in an inhomogeneous Fermi-Pasta-Ulam chain consisting of mass profiles with various shapes and widths are presented. In addition, the effect of asynchronous arrival time of two DBs at the trap is studied. In all cases quite different DB focusing, merging, and trapping behavior is found.
