Dynamical domains of a nondegenerate nonlinear dimer

Abstract

We analyze the self-trapping properties of a nonlinear nonresonant dimer. We show that there is a transition line that separates the localized from nonlocalized states. In contrast to the degenerate case, the self-trapped phase can be accessed without crossing the transition line.
