N2 - This study examines the neural basis of long-term memory formation. Subjects are instructed to learn association pairs on a given day and their retention performance is recorded on the next. We perform statistical analysis as well as single-trial classification to investigate whether EEG is able to predict longterm memory formation in single trials. Our preliminary results confirm previous neurophysiological findings, and show that the prediction of long-term memory formation is possible.
