Abstract

Existential Graphs is a rich method of analysis in philosophy of logic. Peirce applied its Beta part to the analysis of natural-language expressions, quantificational patterns describing mathematical concepts, and modeling cognitive information processing. We show that in the Beta quadrant, Peirce came close to independence-friendly logic.
