Abstract
We report new measurements of the laser induced fluorescence spectra of the HCCl Ã1A″ ← X̃1A′ system in the 5150-6150 Å region, obtained under jet-cooled conditions using a pulsed discharge source. The pure bending states (0,v′2,0) with v′2 = 5-8 and combination states (0,v′2, v′3) with v′2 = 4-6 and v′3 = 1,2 have been measured and the rotational structure fit to a asymmetric top rotational Hamiltonian, which yielded precise values for the band origins and effective rotational constants. Fluorescence lifetimes were measured for rotational levels in each band.
