Abstract

The purpose of this chapter is twofold. First, I will reflect on the lessons regarding historical and present language and power in Ukraine and Kazakhstan highlighted by the authors in this volume. After that, I will suggest directions for future research and policy on languages and power in Ukraine and Kazakhstan—directions which may also be of benefit in other countries of Eurasia and Central Asia.
