Abstract

Immunophenotyping of acute leukemia based on flow cytometry is discussedThe data analysis and interpretation are described in detail. Identification of acute lymphoblastic and myeloblastic leukemia is performed according to the FAB classification. The panel of monoclonal antibodies conjugated with FITC, PE and PE-Cy-5 that is sufficient fordifferential diagnosis of the majority of acute leukemia is described. The detailed study of FSC/SSC allows one to identify blast cells in some cases of acute leukemia. Further analysis includes outlining and description of subpopulations of cells with abnormal phenotype that may be useful for differential diagnosis.
