Integral Sliding Mode Controller Design for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines

Abstract

A sliding mode control (SMC)is a good candidate for design nonlinear system robust to any presented uncertainties. Unfortunately, during the reaching phase, the SMC does not guarantee the stability of the system. To solve this problem the Integral sliding mode controller (ISMC)was introduced. The ISMC consists of two controls such as nominal control and discontinuous control. In this work, a design of the ISMC based controller with disturbance observer is applied to surface mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor (SPMSM). Tracking to the speed response as well as values for control inputs is shown using Matlab/Simulink and the results had been analyzed.
