Abstract

The effect of the bivalent cations, ATP, ADP and EDTA on the course of the photo-induced conversions of P700 in bean chloroplasts has been demonstrated. In the presence of MgCl2 (2-15 mm) there is fall in the value of the EPR I signal induced by light which is absorbed by both photosystems. ATP, ADP and EDTA weaken the effect of Mg2+.
