Abstract
Studies show that despite institutional constraints female entrepreneurs in Iran experience, their entrepreneurial activities are sources of value for themselves and other stakeholders, especially their family. Beyond economic values, female entrepreneurs in Iran create subjective values for family through their entrepreneurial activity. Based on this notion, this research aims to explore how female entrepreneurs (FE) create value at the family level in the context of Iran. To find out our answers, we draw upon the narrative reports of three female entrepreneurs in the Bandarabbas, the capital city of Hormozgan province in south of Iran, and explore their value contributions, at the family level. Narrative accounts highlight female entrepreneurship forms value dimensions at the household level including positive Intra-family dynamics, positive impact of female income on the family members, and change of attitudes towards females. The directions for future researches are discussed.
