Abstract

The oxidation of N-benzyl-1,4-dihydronicotinamide and ethanol was investigated on various brands of carbon hemosorbents. Oxidation of dihydronicotinamide occurs in the initial reaction stage on the carbon surface. The formed nicotinamide radicals generate superoxide radicals, which oxidize the alcohol.
