Light localization in Bessel photonic lattices

Abstract

We report on the experimental observation of nonlinear localization of light in azimuthally modulated Bessel photonic lattices. These lattices are optically induced in a photorefractive crystal and resemble multiple-core highly nonlinear micro-structured fibers.
